Submissions
We welcome pitches and finished pieces from writers, photographers, and critics working across everything the publication covers: traditional and documentary photography, fine art, experimental, generative, and AI-assisted work. If you have something to say and a considered way of saying it, we want to read it.
All submissions go through the forms on our Be a Contributor page, which keeps every pitch and draft logged and confirmed. Start with the contributor guidelines there. They describe what we publish and what we are looking for. The publication is built around critique, writing that takes a position on the work, so what we publish is writing rather than portfolio features.

Bug Reporting
The illūminātum is a custom-built, independently maintained site. If something isn’t rendering correctly, a link is broken, or you’ve spotted anything that looks out of place, please let us know. Specific details including browser, device (desktop, mobile, etc.), and a description of what you’re seeing are genuinely helpful.
